Maintaining thrust bearings in good working order prevents backward movement of the bandsaw machine that could result in misalignment and/or damage to your blade.  These bearings have a pressed fit seal to provide a longer life and are manufactured to fit most 14" bandsaws (King, Toolex, TradeMaster, Delta and many imports).
