This simple jig will position bandsaw blades for silver
soldering so you can make and repair your own blades. It uses
high strength silver solder which means that no expensive welding
equipment is needed. All that is required is a propane torch,
file or grinder, and coilstock to make the blades. It is adjustable
for bandsaw blade widths from 1/16" to 1-1/4" and
includes plans for a blade-grinding jig that will make it easy
to grind accurate bevels on the blade. The Sure-Splice Kit contains
the Sure-Splice jig, solder and flux for about 30 blades. The
Refill Kit contains enough solder for approximately 150 splices.
